Welcome to St Simon Zelotes Church

Welcome to St Simon Zelotes Church

Just off Cadogan Square, the church was designed by Joseph Peacock and built in 1859. In the Decorative style it has been described as ‘idiosyncratic’ and, by John Betjeman, ‘eccentric’. With its rich carving and warm panelling at the east end, the interior is intimate and welcoming.

At the heart of the life of the church, however, is not the building. It is our conviction that Jesus Christ is God’s magnificent gift to the world. Our aim is to know him better and make him known more widely.

Whatever your background or beliefs, whether a firm believer or just looking, we warmly invite you to St Simon’s.

Summer Outing – Saturday 20 September

All are invited to join St Simon’s on a visit to Kenwood House. We will travel by coach from the church to Kenwood House, enjoy a spot of lunch, and conclude with leisurely stroll around the magnificent building. There may even be time to visit nearby Fenton House before our departure.

Apologetics Course  – July & September (Wednesday nights)

Ever wanted answers to questions like: ‘Aren’t all religions basically the same?’, ‘Hasn’t science disproved Christianity?’, ‘How do we know the Bible is reliable?’, etc? Well now is your opportunity!
